RICHARD GUERRA is a registered patent attorney concentrating in the areas of commercial and intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation.  Specifically, Mr. Guerra has prepared and prosecuted patent applications for various fields of invention, including but not limited to medical devices, simple and complex mechanical devices, and chemical processes.  Mr. Guerra has also represented various clients in all aspects of litigation in both federal and state court practice, as well as representing clients in alternative dispute resolution and out-of-court negotiations and settlements.

Mr. Guerra received his Juris Doctor from George Washington University School of Law where he studied and was published under the tutelage of former directors of the United States patent and Trademak Office and United States Copyright Office.  During his law school tenure, Mr. Guerra served as a clerk for the District of Columbia Office of Adjudications and Hearings as well as the Center for Medicare Advocacy.  Prior to receiving his Juris Doctor, Mr. Guerra received his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University, where he also worked as a laboratory technican for the Departments Anatomy and Histology at Tulane Medical Center.
